Aang is the main character of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is the mother series for Avatar: Macai's Journey. During the events of Avatar: Macai's Journey, Aang was the Avatar.
History
Aang was only 12 years old when the Fire Nation attacked the Air Nomads and destroyed his home. All the Air Nomads were destroyed yet he escaped and frozen himself in a block of ice. Aang was also frozen with his trusted pet, Appa. Aang eventually was rescued by a waterbender named Katara from the Southern Water Tribe after her and her brother Sokka got in an argument. The duo quickly became two of his best friends.
Katara eventually trained Aang in waterbending as she personally grew in her art. Aang met Toph who became another major part of his legacy and took another animal named Momo as his next pet. The banished Prince Zuko looked to capture Aang, which was the condition his father bestowed upon him in order to regain honor in his nation. Despite his best efforts, Zuko was no match for the gifted fighter.
Aang would eventually grow in power and win several victories against the Fire Nation. In time he destroyed one of the Fire Nation's largest and most powerful fleets in his defense of the Northern Water Tribe's capital. This was a major blow to Ozai's administration, ultimately leading to him assigning the task of capturing the avatar to Princess Azula. While Azula gave Aang a rough time, she initially was unable to apprehend him. She later concocted a sinister plan which allowed her to topple the Earth Kingdom Capital Ba Sing Se from within through a coup with the Dai Li as her enactors.
Aang came crashing in to save the day, as usual but the princess was prepared. She struck him down in battle. While Aang was defeated, he wasn't permanently destroyed, his close friend Katara healed him allowing what was left of his body to be spared by light spirits. He would later return and act as a catalyst for the toppling of the Fire Nation Empire; with his victory over Firelord Ozai as his ultimate triumph.
Fighting Style
Aang had a naturally defensively fighting style. He was incredibly fast, the fastest being in the planet which was a common fighting style for an airbender. Aang had incredibly sharp reflexes and was exceptionally hard to hit.
Noble or Commoner?
Aang is from an airbending society where all individuals are held at an equal place. Because of this, he is technically a commoner since no nobles exist within his society.
Personality
Aang was naturally goofy, fun, and kind individual. Of course, there were times that he was selfish or got into disputes with his friends but he was ultimately noble and compassionate in character.
