The Firelord is the leader of the Fire Nation government.
Military
The Fire Nation's military during the events of Avatar: Macai's Journey is the most industrialized and developed military. Like the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation has a reverence for its established command structure and ranks only the Fire Nation respects its command structure even more (making it less prone to corruption and punishment for traitors severe).
Legacy
For years after the Hundred Year War, the Fire Nation left a legacy of oppression, hatred, violence, and destruction. It took a long time for the Fire Nation to rebuild its reputation and gain trust from members of the other nations.

Zuko
Zuko played a big role in paving the way to rebuild the Fire Nation's reputation. He worked closely with Avatar Aang and the United Way as he looked to make a fairer world. Still, Zuko faced many challenges and opposition from Fire Nation Remnant forces who thought Zuko wanted to destroy their nation's legacy.
