Haresh is a major villain and Rosh's nemesis in book 4 of AMJ.

Haresh is second-in-command of the Disciples of Justice, a terrorist organization lead by Zerrel. Haresh initially served under Zerrel in his military regiment during the Hundred Year War. The two leaders fought with each other for about ten years (Haresh came after Zerrel was already leading the unit for several years). The duo eventually defected from the Fire Nation as they were attacking the fort of a highly fortified Earth Kingdom city. Roughly a third of Zerrel's unit initially joined them while another third deserted for good and the remaining third stayed loyal to the Fire Nation. Zerrel would later form a cult and take in members from all over the world to join his fight against all standing major governments.

Role[]

Because of how long Haresh served under Zerrel, he was second-in-command of the Disciples of Justice. Both Haresh and Haresh led DOJ offensive drills for recruits and inspired them with his intense speeches. Haresh is Rosh's arch-rival during book 4 of AMJ.

Abilities[]

Before his defection Haresh was a major in the Fire Nation army and Zerrel was a colonel. Haresh was known for his brutal fighting style, large flames, immense resilience, and devastating power. Haresh was more of a tank than Macai, Rosh, Kett, Zuko, and even Iroh. However, Haresh was not as skilled as Macai, Azula, Iroh, or Ozai. What made Haresh special was his high skill level for someone with his talents. Most fighters with his level of fortitude, power, and size don't have his advanced defense, quick wit in battle, or precision. Haresh knew many tricks in battle due to his experience and was willing to do whatever was necessary to win fights.
