Captain Hazo was a prudent captain who served General Eyre during the Hundred Year War. At some point, Hazo was assigned with mentoring Macai during his time in Nyarri. Hazo eventually would develop a strong bond with his student and Macai developed an immense admiration for the Captain. Macai would later request Hazo accompany him as a Senior Advisor, after Macai graduated from High School and was made the Captain of the 31st Company.

Personality[]
Hazo was a prudent, supportive, and caring Captain. Hazo tried to relate to his subordinates and find unique ways to motivate them. Hazo believed punishments needed to be tailored to the weaknesses and strengths of each individual soldier. Hazo believed that soldiers were unique and that soldiers should not be lumped together like objects rather than people. Hazo was known for being able to motivate his subordinates and few soldiers would be crewel enough to betray him.
Mentorship[]
Hazo wasn't only a mentor to Macai. He would later become a father figure for the 31st's Administrative Specialist Aiya. He also became a mentor for Dade, Kett, Kanna, Ronin, and several other members of the 31st. Hazo became a good friend of the 31'st Chaplain, Igwo Nanden. Hazo and Igwo shared several war stories during their time on the Prompt Adjudicator.
Hazo was a skilled writer and editor. It was a side hobby and Hazo enjoyed working with local newspapers in his free time. Hazo was a proficient drum player and a below average flute player. Hazo was also an avid ping-pong player.
Abilities[]
Hazo was a decent combatant who used several standard bending abilities. Hazo's defense and experience made him a bit more dangerous than most Firebenders. Hazo's teamwork and allies gave him the ability to get the best of and compete with several elite benders in combat. Hazo knew when to back out of a fight or retreat. Hazo also knew how to pursue enemies and was a skilled hunter.
Hazo was difficult to trick and it was nearly impossible to lure him into a trap. Hazo's prudence made him an exceptional aide in combat. Hazo would often warn his troopers and help them avoid dangerous situations. Hazo was good at finding alternate solutions to battlefield hazards and problems.
