Jesha is a post-book 2 supporting character in Avatar: Macai's Journey.

Jesha was a member of Macai's 31st Fire Nation Marine Company. She was close friends with Rosh. Jesha quickly rose through the ranks of the 31st, becoming a 2nd lieutenant shortly after the end of the Hundred Year War. Jesha was seventeen years old during the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender; making her one year older than Zuko and two years older than Rosh.

Jesha (AMJ)

Jesha was from a smaller city that had been a part of the Fire Nation for thousands of years. It was called Fendrayca. Fendrayca was known for being a tropical savanna. The village received a moderate amount of rain, heavy winds, and relatively hot temperatures. Because of its unique climate, Fendrayca had many distinct crops. Fendrayca was also known for having many hills, which made traveling throughout the territory physically exerting.

Jesha was in great shape because of her upbringing and adjusted to Macai's training drills better than most of the marines. Jesha performed well during her local tournament and performed in the quarter finals before losing. Jesha waited for about six months before she decided to join the 31st regiment. She was then transferred into the unit due to her promising high school performance six months before the Avatar was discovered.

Skills and Abilities[]

Jesha was one of the best duelists in the 31st. Jesha was above Dade in dueling feats but below Samira. She had the potential to hold her own against great duelists like Jet, Hagenko, and Zuko although it is unlikely she would defeat them. Like Kanna, Jesha became known for her ability to adapt on the battlefield. She often found clues of enemy activity, noticed traps beforehand, knew when to fall back, knew how to trick opponents, and knew how to find enemies who were on the run.

Rosh often used Jesha as his second-in-command when going on investigations and other missions. Jesha would be more of a tactical expert while Rosh had more charisma that he used to lead his team. Jesha was known for using her agility and speed in duels which was above average but below Kanna's. Jesha had sharp reflexes, though less sharp than Ty Lee or Kanna's. However, Jesha was able to use her swords to block incoming projectiles and she had better timing than both Kanna and Ty Lee.

Jesha could fight for up to three hours in battle without getting very tired. Jesha was known for being able to fight at a high tempo longer than characters like Zuko, Ty Lee, Rosh, and even Kanna. Like Macai, Jesha used angles well in combat. The young woman was very accurate when she attacked, rarely missing her strikes unless doing so on purpose to distract or set up her opponents. Jesha was also an excellent climber, this made her stand out from the other members of the 31st, except Hagenko.

Personality[]

Jesha had a lot of respect for the likes of Macai, Rosh, and Kanna. She wasn't known for saying controversial things like Rosh and she knew when to hold her tongue. Jesha wasn't reserved like Kanna but she also wasn't extraverted like Rosh. Jesha's personality was in the middle of being an introvert and extrovert, which mirrors Macai's. However, Jesha spoke less than Macai because Macai had to speak more in his leadership position.

Jesha rarely complained and had a relatively positive attitude. Jesha often helped Rosh with her experience and tactics while Rosh and Jesha both helped each other in battle. Rosh occasionally taught Jesha what royal life was like and invited her to different royal events. Jesha enjoyed the events but thought a lot of it was too flashy. Jesha later became close friends with newer 31st members Irina and Hagenko.

For much of her career, Jesha wanted to get to know who Kett was better. When they both served in the 31st, Jesha wasn't as known to the top 31st officers. When Jesha finally got to work with Macai, Kett was already kidnapped. It wouldn't be until some time after the Hundred Years War was over that Jesha got to get to know Kett better. Jesha was very loyal to Macai's unit and incredibly honest (rarely lied).
