Kanna Foloki (different from Katara's grandmother Kanna), was a Firebender from the colonly town Nyarri.
Kanna was one of the first people Macai met when he moved to Nyarri. She was close friends with Kett and Dade who she grew up with. Kanna was one year older than Macai (sixteen during ATLA). She was a skilled Firebender and later became one of Macai's best officers. Kanna would later become good friends with Ty Lee.
Abilities
Kanna fought with a balanced and more offensive style. She was fairly agile and had a decent defense. Kanna was a fairly patient fighter with a decent offense and defense. Kanna was adaptive in battle and was capable of mixing it up with some of the best benders of her time. Even if only temporarily. Kanna was a fast learner and gradually became a better fighter over the progression of the war.
Kanna was good at attacking her enemies from different angles and varying the type of attacks that she used against her enemies. She could swiftly switch between firing rapid shots at her enemies, blocking, using hand to hand combat, using fire whips, and firing powerful (yet telegraphed) blasts of fire at her enemies. Kanna was a skilled fighter who rivaled ATLA book 1 Zuko in talent during the first book of Macai's Journey.
Kanna was skilled in hand-to-hand even without her bending. Her pure hand-to-hand skills exceeded that of even Zuko, by the time of her graduation. However, Zuko would later exceed Kanna in his pure bending skills. Kanna could fight even after her bending was taken away by a Chi-Blocker.
Kanna's firebreathing feats were notable. During a battle with crazy Okati, Kanna learned how to naturally breathe fire. She did this before Macai and Kett. Kanna could breathe fire and cover a greater range than both Zuko and Iroh. The width of her flames was greater than that of Zuko and comparable to that of Azula's. However, she did not match the width of Iroh or Ozai when she breathed her flames.

Kanna was known for producing dark orange flames with her bending. The core of her flames was a dark yellow/gold fire. This made her flames slightly less hot than the average flames, however her flames where more explosive and covered a slightly greater radius than that of most flames. The explosiveness of her flames exceeded that of Macai, Azula, Rosh, Kett, Zuko, and Iroh. Of all the benders, Kett and Zhao came the closest to her in regards to this category.
Kanna's legs were a dangerous weapon when she fought. Kanna constantly kicked her enemies from several angles and with ease. She was known for her flexibility. Kanna swiftly kicked her enemies and rarely missed her kicks. Kanna's use of kicks exceeded that of Azula and Zuko. Kanna's kicks were far above that of Macai's and Kett's. Only Alev was a better kicker than Kanna, however kicks alone would not ensure that she could beat the other top benders.
Kanna's agility exceeded that of top firebenders like Azula and Macai. Only people like Ty Lee and Aang had more agility than Kanna. Kanna's speed was also notable. Being only a bit below that of Mai and Ty Lee. Kanna was faster than the other members of Macai's unit, Azula, and a touch faster than Zuko. Kanna conditioning was also notable. Rivaling that of Zuko's and Macai's.
Personality
Kanna was an upbeat and positive person. She was always grateful for whatever she had and helped boost the morale of troopers in Macai's Unit (the 52nd Attack Battalion). Kanna knew how to make any situation fun.
