Unlike the Northern Water Tribe, the Western Water Tribe is a lot less developed and is poorer. This makes it more similar to the Southern Water Tribe. It is located roughly 500 miles west of the and 50 miles south of the Earth Kingdom's Western border.

Weather
Its climate is also slightly warmer than the Northern and Southern Tribes. The Western Tribe has several coniferous forests that receive high volumes of snow. The Western Water Tribe also receives less sunlight than all of the other Water Tribe areas. The Western Tribe has the windest weather which makes its climate increasingly intolerable despite the temperate being a bit higher than the Northern and Eastern Tribes.
Notable Characters
Several notable AMJ characters are from the Western Water Tribe. These characters include:
- Jarue: A crafty Waterbender.
- Sada: A young waterbending prodigy and upright thinker. Sada becomes an influential leader in a global liberty movement called the United Way.
- Kaft: An outstanding swordsman and Jarue's childhood friend.
- Ronu: A famous spearman who completely dedicated his life to his craft, hunting, and family.
